We need strong representation in city government we can count on to support our working families and businesses, while giving them every opportunity to achieve their goals and dreams.
Pullman needs City Council members who are ready to tackle the issues as they arise with a mind toward our future, while simultaneously protecting and preserving necessary funding for critical operations such as infrastructure, public safety, encouraging tourism and managed growth, and ensuring city government is operating to the best standards possible.

Who is
John-Mark?
John-Mark is a 5th generation resident of Whitman County and has lived in Pullman for over 45 years, where he currently resides with his wife, Denise, and their dogs, Khi & Freddy.
“It is important to remember this position is non-partisan, and works best when all parties are working toward a goal to benefit the residents of Pullman as opposed to political ideology- I plan to bring leadership, reliability, organization, and respect to the table in order to work effectively with my fellow Council members.
Most of my working life, my role has been that of a ‘communicator’ in that I share information and ideas with others. In radio, I learned the best thing you can do is listen to people- take the time to understand the issues, concerns, and what must be accomplished.
Time spent working in a retail sales role has reinforced that belief. If you are not readily available to listen, you can’t help people, nor can you make informed decisions and work toward a solution or compromise that works for all parties involved. One could argue the political arena is similar, especially when partisanship is involved.
We all bring varied and unique backgrounds and talents to the Council. A mutual respect needs to be fostered, and finding common ground is a must. Working from there anything can be accomplished regardless of political leanings, as long as we are willing to keep listening to one another and working toward a realized common goal.”
